Abstract

Objective To evaluate the treatment outcome of the MACRO-LOCK POST ILLUSION in posterior teeth restorations after 16~24months.Methods Total 109 posterior teeth were chosed from 81 patients. They were divided into two groups.Experimental group were composed of 62 teeth.Control group were composed of 47 teeth. The teeth of experimental group were restored using the MACRO-LOCK POST ILLUSION.The teeth of control group were restored using the metal pole. Results were recorded after 16~24months.Results There was a crown fall off in the experimental group, and there was a crown loosened. The success rate was 96.8%.There were four crown fall off in the control group, and there were three crown loosened. The success rate was 85.1%.The experimental group and control group have the significant differences. Conclusion The MACRO-LOCK POST ILLUSION has a higher success rate than that of the metal pole, with a good effect of the posterior teeth residual root and crown restorations.
