The Tuition-free School in the Miao Nationality Region and the Qing Dynasty ruling the Southwest

With strengthening of ruling power,the Qing Dynasty rulers focus on developing Miao Nationality region,as opposed to Ming Dynasty,moving deeper into hinterland of southwest.The Miao Nationality's main area is in west of Hunan province in Ming Dynasty.It extended to Guizhou in Qing Dynasty.The Qing Dynasty develops Tuition-free school vigorously in Miao-nationality region,and one of its goals is the promotion of culture and education,implement elementary education,cause people of Miao-nationality region area and area south of Yellow River to be same persuasion,carry out so-called enlightenment policy.Secondly,its goal is to carry out imperial civil service examination,permit Miao-nationality region scholars to take examinations,guaranteeing some people of Miao national minority entering bureaucrat system,combine Miao-nationality region and entire country management system and strengthen management of southwest central area.
