Abstract
The early Ming Dynasty rulers developed the Yuan Dynasty's practice in dealing with central Guizhou's Gaopo Miao area.The specific measures include limiting the tribal leaders' power and strengthening power centralization in a bid to improve the imperial court's influence and government.
