A Study of the Agricultural Economy of the Miao Nationality in Yunnan and Guizhou in Ming-qing Period

Ming-qing period is an important period in which the society of the Miao nationality in Yunnan and Guizhou developed. The central government appointed new officers to reinforce its rule over the area. Meanwhile, the feudal economy of lordship was gradually replaced by the feudal economy of landlordship, and most the area stepped into the feudal society. At that time, lots of Han people poured into the area where Miao people inhabited, and bought in advanced implements and skills of production which had brought about a great advance in agricultural economy of this area, and promoted exchange and fusion among nationalities.
