Abstract

Objective:To explore the clinical features and treatment of neurogenic pulmonary edema associated in cases of severe craniocerebral trauma. Methods:A retrospective study was carried out in 24 cases of severe craniocerebral trauma complicated with neurogenic pulmonary edema and the relation of early clinical features, diagnostic criteria and prognosis. Results: In all these 24 patients,12 cases of them(50%) were died and 12 cases(50.0%) rescued. In the rescued patients,1 case(4.2%)was slightly disability,4 cases(16.7%) were middle disability and 6 cases(25.0%) were severe disability and 1 case(4.2%)was cured. Conclusion: Combined modality therapy with early diagnosis, quickly intracranial hypertension decrease, incision of tracheal in time, assisted respiration and hormone could decrease the death rate and improve prognosis.
