Abstract

[Objective]To summarize the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment on patients with neurogenic pulmonary edema after craniocerebral trauma. [Methods] The data of 26 patients with neurogenic pulmonary edema after cranio-cerebral trauma were studied retrospectively. [Results] 8 patients survived, among the patients, 3 patients survived with mild disabilities and 2 patients with severe disabilities, 18 patients died. [Conclusion] Neurogenic pulmonary edema complicated with craniocerebral trauma is the most important factor of cause of death. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment are key points to elevate achievement ratio and lower mortality of patients with neurogenic pulmonary edema after craniocerebral trauma.
