Research and Application of Friction Damper in Engineering

Abstract

Friction damper is one of the energy dissipation devices .The construtions of the device is very simple and easy to make. Some kinds, configuration patterns , energy dissipation characteristics of friction dampers are illustrated in this paper . Then, the mathematical model of the friction damper and analysis methods on structures with the friction dampers are introduced. At last, the application of friction dampers, such as Ruoyuan Midlle School., is described.
