Comment on the development of friction damper

Abstract

Friction damper is one of the energy dissipation devices.The construction of the device is very simple and easy to make and the cost to make it is low.The development,the energy dissipation patterns,the some kinds,the configuration patterns and the restoring forced model of friction dampers are commented in this paper.In addition,the typical application of friction dampers in the civil engineering is introduced in the paper.
