Two New Species of Tetrigoidea (Orthoptera) from Yunnan Province

In the present paper, two new species of Tetrigoidea are described. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University. 1. Criotettix torulisinotus , sp. nov. (Figs. 1～3) This new species is related to Criotettix damingshanensis Zheng et Jiang, but differs in: 1) width of vertex slightly narrower than the width of an eye; 2) antennae inserted between lower margins of eyes; 3) hind process of pronotum just extending the top of hind femur; 4) two sides of median carina with a pair of short longitudinal ridges between shoulders; 5) wings shorter, not reaching the apex of hind process of pronotum; 6) lower margins of fore and mid femora undulate; 7) preknee teeth right angular; 8) hind margin of female subge nital plate with three projecting. Length of body: ♂7.5 mm～8.0 mm; ♀10 mm～11 mm; Length of pronotum: ♂8.0 mm～8.5 mm; ♀8.0 mm～9.0 mm; Length of hind femur: ♂5.5 mm～6.0 mm; ♀6.0 mm～7.0 mm. Holotype ♀, paratypes 2♂♂,1♀,Yunnan: Xishuangbana, 24-Ⅶ-1998, collected by Wei Zhao ming and Liu Bo. 2. Tetrix baoshanensis , sp. nov. (Figs. 4～5) This new species is allied to Tetrix bolivari Sauley, but differs in: 1) vertex nearly equal to an eye in width; 2) anterior margin of vertex protruding before eyes, rounded; 3) in profile, frontal costa with vertex forming a round shape; 4) disc of pronotum densily with small tubercles and rugosity; 5) median keel interrupted in middle; 6) lateral keels slightly contracted behind. Length of body: ♀10.5 mm～10.7 mm; length of pronotum: ♀12.0 mm～12.5 mm; length of hind femur: ♀6.0 mm～6.5 mm. Holotype ♀, paratype 1♀, Yunnan: Baoshan, 10-Ⅷ-1998, collected by Wei Zhao Min.
