Abstract

In the present paper, four new species of Tetrigidae from Yunnan are described. Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University. 1. Hedotettix strictivertex, sp. nov. (Figs. 1~2) This new species is allied to Hedotettix bivalvatus Zheng et Jiang and Hedotettix shangsiensis Zheng et Jiang, it differs from both by: 1) Index vertex: eye (dorsalview) 1:1.75; 2) anterior margin of vertex straight; 3) hind wings surpassing pronotal process, the surpassing part of hind wings about 0.5 mm; 3) hind tibia yellow brown. It differs from the latter by the lower outside of hind femur not black. Length of body: ♂8.0~8.5 mm; length of pronotum: ♂10.0~11.0 mm; length of hind femur: ♂5.0~5.5 mm. Holotype ♂, Yunnan: Menglun (101.25oE, 21.41oN), 31-Ⅶ-2004, collected by BU Yun; paratype 1♂, as holotype. 2. Coptotettix bannaensis, sp. nov. (Figs.3~4) The new species is similar to Coptotettix fangchengensis Zheng et Jiang, but differs in: 1) Index vertex: eye (dorsal view) 1:1.6; 2) anterior margin of vertex roune arched; 3) width of sulcus of frontal ridge equal to the width of basal segment of antennae; 4) disc of pronotum with fine tubercles and without short longitudinal keels; 5) humeral angle round; 6) hind winigs surpassing the apex of pronotal process; 7) lower outside of hind femur not black. Length of body: ♂8.5~9.0 mm; length of pronotum: ♂9.0~9.2 mm; length of hind femur: ♂6.0~6.5 mm. Holotype ♂, Yunnan: Menglun (101.25oE, 21.41oN), 31-Ⅶ-2004, collected by BU Yun; paratype 1♂, as holotype. 3. Tetrix longipennis, sp. nov. (Figs.5~7) The new species is allied to Tetrix bolivari Saulcy and Tetrix baoshanensis Zheng, Wei and Liu, it differs from both by: 1) width of vertex narrower than the width of an eye; 2) anterior margin of vertex straight, slightly surpassing the anterior margin of eyes; 3) without a pair of short longitudinal keels between shoulders. It differs from the latter by: 1) in profile, vertex and frontal ridge forminig an obtused angle; 2) midkeel of pronotum complete; 3) lateral keels of prozona parallel. It differs from the former by the disc of pronotum with numerous fine tubercles. Length of body: ♀10.0~10.5 mm; length of pronotum: ♀11.2~11.5 mm; length of hind femur: ♀5.0~5.5 mm. Holotype ♀, Yunnan: Dali (100.05oE, 24.9oN), 11-Ⅷ-2004, collected by BU Yun; paratypes 2♀♀, as holotype. 4. Euparatettix menlunensis, sp. nov. (Figs.8~10) The new species is allied to Euparatettix torulosinotus Zheng and Euparatettix pseudomelanotus Zheng et Jiang, it differs from both by the apex of pronotal process reaching the middle of hind tibia. It differs from the former in: 1) disc of pronotum smooth; 2) width of midfemur equal to the width of elytra. It differs from the latter in: 1) antennae inserted between ventral margins of eyes; 2) the part of hind wings which surpassing the apex of pronotal process about 2 mm. Length of body: ♀8.0~8.5 mm; length of pronorum: ♀9.0~9.2 mm; length of hind femur: ♀5.0~6.0 mm. Holotype ♀, Yunnan: Menglun (101.25oE, 21.41oN), 31-Ⅷ-2004, collected by HE Peng-xing; paratype 1♀, as holotype.
