Abstract

Objective:To explore the effect of Soybean extracts on lipid metabolism in experimental hyperlipidemia rabbits.Method:Hyperlipidemia models were created by high fat diet feeding and divided randomly into the three groups of the high fat control group, the treatment group with Soybean extracts(2 0ml/kg BW)and the positive control group(Inositol Nicotinate). After ten weeks, the samples of each group of levels of the blood lipids by Spectrophotography, lipid peroxidation(LPO)by Fluorospectrophotometry and thromboxane B 2(TXB 2)by radioimmunoassay were determined.Result:Soybean extracts could significantly decrease the levels of the serum total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),and low density lipidpoprotein(LDL),elevate the rate of HDL c/TC,and decreased atherosclerosis index(AI),LPO and TXB 2,and the ratio of viscosity of plasm. Conclusion:Soybean extracts can regulate lipid, resist oxidation, improve microcirculation, protect the function of vascular endothelium and inhibit the formation of atherosclerosis.Compared with the positive control medicine,Soybean extracts is more effective.
