Abstract
Poplar tree is one of the primary breeds in the agricultural protection forests and fast-growing and high-yield forests. With the rapid development of forestry, the fast-growing and high-yield plantation got the strongest momentum. However, the large planting area, single species and genetic homogeneity led to pests and diseases which badly affected the out-turn percentage.Based on the adaptability investigation and analysis of the fast-growing variety of Black Poplar,Zhonglin Poplar, extensively planted in Tianjin,Shenzhou Poplar and transgenic hybrid Poplar 741,the results show that the transgenic Poplar 741 is an ideal species of poplar timber, which showed high adaptability in Tianjin.
