Abstract
Cathay Poplar and Beijing Poplar are planted widely in the eastern region of Qinghai.Their leaf-disease are very serious.In order to change this condition,We have done forest tree breeding use 2 kinds poplar have many good characteristics.America Black Poplar is maternal plant.It grows quickly and resists leaf disease,Cattay Poplar is paternal plant, it has Characteristics of anti-cold and anti-dry.Through interbreed process we have obtained 191 hybrid clones.These hybrid clones which have good character were selected as cultivated species.
