Abstract
【Objective】To compare the effect of rabeprazole-based and lansoprazole-based quadruple therapy in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori(H·pylori)positive peptic ulcer.【Methods】240 patients with H·pylori positive peptic ulcers were randomized into two groups: the 1st group treated with rabeprazole 10 mg(n=124),bismuth potassium citrate 220mg,amoxicillin 1g and furazolidone 100mg twice a day for two weeks followed by rabeprazole 10 mg for two weeks. The 2nd group treated with lansoprazole 30mg(n=116),bismuth potassium citrate 220mg,amoxicillin 1g and furazolidone 100mg twice a day for two weeks followed by lansoprazole 30mg for two weeks. One month after treatment, the eradication rate of H·pylori and the healing rate of peptic ulcer were evaluated according to the result of repeated endoscopy.【Results】The time of pain relieved in rabeprazole group was(1.3±0.6) days, earlier than that in lansoprazole group(2.2±1.0) days(P0.05).After finishing treatment for four weeks, the symptom disappearance rate was both 100% in two groups, the ulcer healing rate was 98% and 97% respectively in two groups(P0.05).The Hp eradication rate was 97% and 91% respectively in two groups(P0.05).【Conclusions】Both rabeprazole-based and lansoprazole-based quadruple theraphy are effective for curing peptic ulcer and eradicating H·pylori.Rabeprazole is superior to lansoprazole in relieving pain symptom.
