The value of MRU in diagnosis of the obstructive lesions of the ureter

Abstract
Objective To evaluate MR urography (MRU) in displaying the obstruction site, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the obstructive lesions of the ureter. Methods Preoperative MRU was studied retrospec-tively in 51 cases proved by clinical practice, surgery and pathology. Results The rate of accurate localization reached 100%, and the rate accurate differentiating the benign and malignant lesions was 91%. Conclusion MRU is valuable in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the obstructive lesions of ureter.
