Effect of ShenFu Injection on Myocardial Inflammatory Reaction Following Acute Myocardial Ischemic Reperfusion in Rats

Objective To study the effect of ShenFu injection on the activty of NF-кB and the level of ICAM-1 and IL-6 following acute myocardial ischemic reperfusion.Methods 36 SD rats were randomized into three groups each consisting of 12 rats: sham group(S group),ischemic reperfusion group(I/R group),ShenFu injection(SF group),.Ischemic Reperfusion models were made by ligated left coronary artery.Immunohistochemistry detected the activty of NF-кB and the level of ICAM-1.ELISA method measured IL-6 level.Results Electron microscope change:There were mitochondria swell,rupture of mitochondrial membrane in I/R group,but less change in SF group.The activity of NF-кB,the level of ICAM-1 and IL-6 in S and SF group were significantly lower than those in I/R group(P0.01),and the activity of NF-кB,the level of IL-6 of myocardial tissue in SF group were higher than in S group(P0.05).Conclusion ShenFu injection can inhibit the activity of NF-кB,decrease ICAM-1 and IL-6 level,protect myocardial injury after ischemic reperfusion.
