Research on applying hand ProTaper NITI instrument in root canal treatment

Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of hand ProTaper NITI instrument in the root canal treatment.Methods 220 cases who needed root canal treatment were randomly divided into two groups.The root canals were prepared with hand ProTaper(PT group:110 cases,392 root canals,gradually forward method) and ISO standard stainless steel type K and H files(KH group: 110 patients,397 root canals,gradually forward method),respectively.The preparing time,pain after preparation and root canal obturation effection were evaluated.Results In root canal preparation time and incidence of pain,root canal obturation rate were significantly lower in PT gronp than in KH group(P 0.05).The difference was statistically significant.Conclusions The hand ProTaper instrument can maintain root canal form,save time,obviously improve the root obturation effection safely.It is worth popularizing.
