Abstract
A method for the determination of phoxim residues in tomato sauce by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) has been developed.Phoxim residues were extracted from tomato sauce with acetonitrile and purified on a Florisil column. The HPLC seperation was performed on a C18 column with acetonitrile-0.15% formic acid(4∶1,V/V) as mobile phase and detection at 285 nm.The linear range was 0.01~1 mg/kg(r=0.9999).The limit of detection(LOD) was 0.01 mg/kg in the tomato sauce, the ranges of recoveries were 86.1%~102.7% and RSD was 2.0%~6.5%.The method was simple, rapid, sensitive and accurate. It was suitable for routine inspection of phoxim residues in tomato sauce.
