Abstract

Objective To investigate clinic importance of human papikkomavirus DNA testing assisting Thinprep liquid based cytology for diagnosing early cervical cancer and precancer lesions. Methods 1248 women with harmful elements were tested for high-risk types of HPV with the use of the Hybrid Capture Ⅱ(HC-Ⅱ) assay .Women positive on HPV DNA had a Thinprep liquid based cytology test (TCT) .Women positive on HPV DNA and TCT were referred for colposcopy and biopsied. Results 389 women were proved to have been infected by HPV (31.2%) , aged 19~56 years, mean 33.68±9.60 years, age ≤30 years 127cases, (33.3% 127/389), CIN1, CIN2, CIN3 and were 38, 34, 15 and 7cases respectively ,(early cervical cancer 2 and advanced cervical cancer 5).Conclusion HPV DNA testing may increase sensitivity of existent cytologic screening , HC-Ⅱassisting TCT is the best method of diagnosing early Cervical Cancer and precancer Lesions. HPV DNA testing may forewarn CIN.
