Discussion on the Concept of Criminal Policy

The concept of criminal policy is a fundamental category in criminal policy science.Scholars have divergent views on the concept of criminal policy,which is not good for the long-term development of criminal policy science.Insisting on the discipline's independence of the criminal policy is the premise to study the concept of criminal policy.As the object of criminal policy study,criminal policy is different from the criminal public policy,from criminal law's specifications and from simple crime countermeasures.Criminal policy is a series of countermeasures and punishments which China takes as main contents of penalty to punish the existing crimes in accordance with the understanding of the causes of crimes.
