Abstract
objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of integrated Chinese and western medicine conservative therapy in the treatment of acute pancreatitis. Methods:One hundred and sixty-five acute pancreatitis patients were randomly divided into observation group with 110 cases and control group with55 cases. The observation group was treated with Chinese medicine orally and externally based on conventional western medicine treatment, while the control group was given conventional western medicine treatment alone. The clinical effect was observed after treatment. Results:The differences of obvious, mild and slight remission rate between the two groups were significant(P 0.05). The time for serum amylase and lipase becoming normal in the observation group was shorter than that of the control group(P 0.05). The mean hospitalization time and death rate were also shorter in the observation group than that of the control group(P 0.05). Conclusion:Integrative Chinese and western medicine exerts better effect than the western medicine alone in the treatment of acute pancreatitis.
