Abstract
Objective To explore contrastive analysis of carotid stenosis imaging. Methods 64 patients with clinically suspected carotid artery stenosis were subject to examination of carotid color doppler ultrasound(Philips-7500 Color Diagnostic Apparatus with Probe Frequency of 3.5-8.0 MHZ) and carotid arteries MRA imaging. All patients were accepted carotid arteriography within two weeks. Results According to the gold standard of carotid arteriography, the sensitivity and specificity of ultrasonic diagnosis were 96.88% and 35.71%,respectively,and those of MR angiography were 93.75% and 71.43%,respectively.Conclusion The results indicates that the plaque detection rate of color Doppler ultrasound was significantly higher than that of MR angiography or carotid arteriography and the sensitivity of morphological changes in carotid artery wall is higher than that of MR angiography or carotid arteriography.
