Study of diclofenac sodium suppository on herpetic neuralgia

Abstract
Objective It is to study the effects of diclofenac sodium suppository on herpetic neuralgia. Methods Seventy patients with herpetic neuralgia were randomly divided into two groups. The patients in the treatment group were treated with diclofenac sodium suppository by rectally administration. The patients in the control group were treated with tablets aspirin by oral administration. The improvement in the symptoms of the patients was observed. Results The relief of symptoms in treatment group was prior to that in control group and there was significant difference ( P 0.05). Conclusion The diclofenac sodium suppository is an effective drug to herpetic neuralgia.
