Abstract

Objective To explore the expression of NF-κB and MMP-9 of myocardial tissue after myocardial infarction in rats and the intervention effect of captopril. Methods Random selection of forty SD male rats establish acute myocardial infarction by the ligation of left anterior descending coronary as operation group and then sham group(C,n=20) as control.Twenty four hours after the operation, operation group were randomly divided into Captopril group(A,n=19) and myocardial infarction group(B,n=18) .The next six weeks,Captopril(10 mg/kg daily) was administered of A and saline was administered of B and C.Six weeks late the protein expressions of NF-κB and MMP-9 were examined by immunohistochemical analysis. Results The ratio of heart weight to body weight and the expression of NF-κB and MMP-9 in group A and B significantly increased(P0.05) ,but A is lower than B(P0.05) .Conclusion Both NF-κB and MMP-9 involved in ventricular remodeling following acute myocardial infarction.Captopril by inhibiting the NF-κB and MMP-9 protein expression reverse ventricular remodeling after myocardial infarction.
