Change of liver function of the patients with acute organic phosphorus poisoning and its clinical meaning

Objective To study the change of liver function of the patients who suffered from acute intoxication of organic phosphorus poisoning and clinical meaning.Methods The patients were divided into three groups:mild,middle and severe,according to the degree of intoxication,and thirty healthy-tested people was regarded as control group.Serum alanine transaminase (ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),total bilirubin,direct bilirubin,total protein and Albumin were tested respectively.Results Comparing with the control, we found that the change of liver function in the severe intoxication group is significant ( P 0 01 or P 0 001),but the mild group is exceptional;In the middle intoxication group,the change of the rest test items exeept total protein is significant too ( P 0 05 or P 0 001).Conclusion Acute organic phosphorus intoxication can cause damage to liver ,and the degree of damage is related to the degree of intoxication .
