Abstract

This article introduces the technical flow and equipment for heavy rail production in the Steel-making Plant of Baotou Steel.It discusses the practical heavy rail production of No.5 casting machine and the application of new technology and equipment.After the dynamic water control for secondary cooling and dynamic soft reduction were adopted,the interior quality of bloom was improved obviously,and can meet the requirements that the speed of heavy rail reaches 350 km/h.
