Observations on the Efficacy of Warm Needling plus Acupoint Application in Treating Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy

Abstract

Objective To seek an effective method of traditional Chinese medicine for treating cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.Methods One hundred and Twenty patients meeting the criteria were randomly allocated to treatment and control groups,60 cases each.The treatment group received warm needling plus acupoint application and the control group,warm needling plus cupping.Results Of the treatment group of 60 patients,cure occurred in 34 and marked efficacy in 15,the cure and marked efficacy rate reaching 81.7%,which was significantly higher than 73.3% in the control group.Conclusion Warm needling plus acupoint application has a marked therapeutic effect on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.
