Clinical Observations on the Efficacy of Warm Needling plus Lateral Stretching and Rotating Manipulation in Treating Cervical Spondylosis

Objective To Investigate the clinical efficacy of warm needling plus lateral stretching and rotating manipulation in treating cervical spondylosis.Methods Seventy-two patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy were randomly allocated to treatment and control groups,36 cases each.The treatment group received warm needling plus lateral stretching and rotating manipulation and the control group,electroacupuncture plus traction.Ten days constituted one course of treatment.Results After two courses of treatment,the total efficacy rate was 94.4% in the treatment group and 86.1% in the control group.The total efficacy rate was higher in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.05).The symptoms and signs improved more in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Warm needling plus lateral stretching and rotating manipulation has a better therapeutic effect on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.
