Experimental Study on Toxicity of Yiweibao Capsule

Objective:To observe the acute and long-term toxicity of Yiweibao Capsule on mice and rats respectively.Methods:To give the mice Yiweibao Capsule 60 g/kg once a day and observe the moratality of mice in 7 days ;rats were perfused one time on Yiweibao Capsule 6,3,1.5g/kg every day,last for 12 weeks ,wait 2 weeks after drug withdraw ,test hematology,blood biochemistry and measure weights and weight index ,observe the pathological changes in major organs.Results:There was no death of mice in 7 days,hematology,blood biochemistry, weights and weight index of rats were verified in normal ranges and there was no pathologic change in major organs by pathologicantomic.Conclusion:These results suggests that it is safe to use Yiweibao Capsule in clinic because of no acute and chronic toxicity.
