Abstract
The process of removing iron from high-iron aluminum sulfate was studied using KMnO_4 as oxidant. The influence of pH value, dosage of oxidant, and the concentration of aluminum sulfate solution on effection of removing iron were discussed. The obtained optimum reaction conditions were that the pH value was controlled at 3,concentration of aluminum sulfate solution was 30%,the reaction time was 15 minute and the reaction temperature(100±5)℃.The content of iron in aluminum sulfate production can be declined to 0.27%.The structure of product was characterized by X-ray diffraction.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
