Abstract

Several maize inbred lines were studied for the induction percentage of immature embryogeneic callus in this experiment.Different geneotypes and different induction mediums were evaluated. The results showed that there are significant differences among the different induction percentage of different maize inbred lines on the same conditions and the same maize inbred lines at different mediums. As for this experiment,N6A medium and 18-599 inbreed line have a better induction percentage of immature embryogeneic callus. This indicated there is an interaction on induction percentage of immature embryogeneic callus between genotype and medium. The content of 2,4-D in the induction mediums have an evident affect on the callus induction percentage of immature embryo. The accession of NAA to the induction mediums can not increase the induction percentage of embryogenic callus evidently.
