Observation on the curative effect of three methods in the treatment of ectopic pregnancy and its cost-effectiveness analysis

OBJECTIVE To investigate the curative effect and cost-effectiveness rate of different doses methotrexate(MTX)combined with mifepristone in the treatment of ectopic pregnancy. METHODS A total of 99 patients with ectopic pregnancy were divided into three groups. The contrast group(36)was treated with MTX single-dose(50mg/m2)intramuscular injection,group A(33)treated with MTX single-dose(50mg/m2)intramuscular injection combined with oral mifepristone 150mg,group B(30)treated with MTX single-dose(40mg/m2)intramuscular injection combined with oral mifepristone 150mg. RESULTS The time that β-hCG returned to normal level was less in group A and group B than in the contrast group(P﹤0.05),the decreased value of mass was greater in group A and group B than in the contrast group(P﹤0.05),the side effects of drugs in group B was less than the contrast group(P﹤0.017).(C/E)of three groups were 0.855,0.882,0.753;according to the control group for reference,△C/△E of group A and group B was 1.17,-0.46. CONCLUSION The combination of single-dose MTX intramuscular injection with mifepristone in treating ectopic pregnancy has a better effect,in addition to lower MTX dosage and less side effects. Group B has the lowest C/E and △C/△E,which is the best medical treatment.
