Embolizing Arteriovenous Malformation or Dural Arteriovenous Fistular with Onyx-34 (13 CasesReport)

Aim:To introduce the experience of embolized arteriovenous malformation (AVM) or dural arteriovenous fistular (DAVF) with Onyx-34 for 13 cases. Methods: Of 13 cases from AVM or DAVF, 6 cases were AVM and 7 cases DAVF. 10 cases were embolized with Onyx-34 only and 3 cases Onyx-34 combined with coils. Results:13 cases had no complications due to the embolization with Onyx-34. 6 of 13 cases from AVM,the ratio of embolization was 100% with Onyx-34 for 5 cases from AVM. 7 cases suffered from DAVF were cured by embolization with Onyx-34. The time of injecting Onyx-34 was 54 seconds average. The quantity of Onyx-34 for AVM is 2.2ml average and 0.5ml average for DAVF respectively. Conclusion: Onyx-34 is one of better embolizing materials for AVM or DAVF.
