Abstract
Objective: To analyze the state of the blood glucose control for the diabetic patients with subclinical hypothyroidism.Methods: The thyroid function [total three iodine thyroid original acid(TT3),total thyroxine(TT4),thyrotropin(TSH) ] and the glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c) were detected in the 480 hospitalized diabetic patients,and the patients of the normal thyroid function were selected for the euthyroidism group(the euthyroidism group,374 cases),and the patients of the subclinical hypothyroidism were selected for the other group(the subclinical hypothyroidism group,67 cases),and the HbA1C between the 2 groups were compared.The diabetic patients with other thyroid function state were excluded.Results: 1) The incidence of diabetes combined with abnormal thyroid function was 22.1%.Among them,13.9% of patients were subclinical hypothyroidism.Both incidence were significantly higher than those in patients with subclinical hypothyroidism or patients with abnormal thyroid function but without diabetes(all P0.05).2) The HbA1c level in the subclinical hypothyroidism group were significantly lower than that in the euthyroidism group(P0.05).Conclusion: The incidence of abnormal thyroid function is higher in diabetic patients,particularly in those with subclinical hypothyroidism.The blood glucose control state in the patients with diabetes combined with subclinical hypothyroidism is better than those diabetes with normal thyroid function.
