Abstract

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of L-carnitine injection on old age chronic congested heart failure (CHF). Methods: Seventy-eight cases of old CHF patients were divided into two groups at random. Thirty -nine patients in control group were treated with medicine of the nitric acid ester, digoxin, diuretic, transformation enzyme inhibitor and Beta acceptor retarder. Experiment group were treated with L -carnitine combined with routine medicine therapy. After treating 14d, compares the NYHA heart function graduation and the cardiac index, the left room shoots the menstruation value and the E/A improvement situation. Results: The marked effect of the cardiac index, the left room shoots the menstruation value in experiment group were significantly higher than that in control group, but E/A, heart ratio showed no significant change. Conclusion: Short-term application L-carnitine injection combined with routine medicine therapy proved a better curative effect on chronic corpulmonale.
