Abstract
By using strong acidic cationic exchange resin as the catalyst, propionic acid and isobutyl alcohol reacted to form isobutyl propionate. The effect of amount of catalyst, molar ratio of material, reaction time and water-carrying agent and so on on yield were discussed. The optimal reaction condition as follow:mole ratio of material was 1 ∶3,amount of catalyst was 2.4 g,reaction time was 70 min.ues level of cyclohexane was 5 mL.Experimental results showed that it was the efficient, economic and environmental friendly catalyst.its yield could reach 87.6% under the best conditions.
