Abstract
The synthesis of isobutyl lactate using cation exchange resin as catalyst was studied in this paper. The effects of the amount of catalyst, the ratio of isobutyl alcohol and lactic acid, and the reacting time was investigated, and the optimum reaction condition was obtained. The catalyst showed a high activity for the synthesis of isobutyl lactate with the yield of the esterification over 87.1%, and can be reused without any processing.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
