Clinical observation of "Yangyin Xifeng Tongluo Decoction" in treating Parkinson's disease of liver-kidney yin deficiency

Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Yangyin Xifeng Tongluo Decoction in the treatment of Parkinson's disease of liver-kidney yin deficiency.Methods Forty-six subjects were randomized into two groups: control group in which 23 cases were treated with Madopar and treatment group in which 23 cases were treated with Madopar and Yangyin Xifeng Tongluo Decoction,with a course of 12 weeks.Results The overall effective rate was 78.3% in the treatment group and 56.5% in the control group;the clinical efficacy was better in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.05).After treatment,the total Webster scores were reduced in both groups(P0.05),with lower score in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.01).Conclusion Yangyin Xifeng Tongluo Decoction helps Parkinson's disease of liver-kidney yin deficiency and improves its clinical symptoms.
