Abstract
The MIKE21 SW wave spectrum model was applied to simulate the wave field in the sea around the Yangtze River estuary during MAISHA Typhoon and a cold snap in January 2006.The results were in good agreement with the measured data, which proved the well applicability of the model in the area and showed that the wave-fields in different weather systems had significantly different characteristics.
