Prostaglandin combined with methylcobalamin in treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy

Objective To observe the clinical effect and safety of prostaglandin E1 combined with methylcobalamin in treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy.Methods Ninety-six diabetic peripheral neuropathy patients were divided into treatment group(n=55) and control group(n=41),they were given insulin to control blood glucose,blood pressure control such treatment,the treatment group were given prostate E1 10 μg/d,intravenous drips and methylcobalamin 500 μg/d,intramuscular for 4 weeks.After four weeks,instead of a 500μg,methylcobalamin 3 times/day oral treatment in eight weeks.We measured the double lower motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity and observed clinical symptom before and after treatment.Results After the treatment,peripheral neuropathy symptoms such as pain and numbness,and paresthesia were obviously improved,nerve conduction velocity was improved to varying degrees,there was no obvious adverse reaction.Conclusion Prostaglandin E1 combined with methylcobalamin for diabetic peripheral neuropathy has clinical curative effect,and is safe and reliable.
