Abstract
Jintianza 3 was composed of a male sterile line E35/Tang A3 and restorer TianC-1-1 assembled energy sorghum hybrids.The national sorghum varieties regional test in 2011-2012 years show that growth period of Jintianza 3 were 134 days, biomass yield was high, the average fresh weight was 85 321.5 kg/hm2, stalk juice rate was 55.9%, and sugar Brix was 18.9%. As its selfing rate was 0, so Jintianza 3 was sterile hybrids. Jintianza 3 is an ideal crop for production of ethanol fuel because of strong lodging resistance. It is suitable for planting in the northeast, northern and northwest China.
