Abstract
As energy purposed sweet sorghum hybrid,Jintianza 2 was bred with sterile line 7050A as female parent and restorer Tian C-1-1 male.The national sorghum varieties regional test results of 2010-2011 years showed that the hybrid had late growth period,high average fresh stalk weight 81 660 kg/hm2,average stalk juice rate 55.7%,high average sugar content 19.2%,high resistance to head smut,light leaf disease infection and good lodging resistant.The hybrid Jintianza 2 could be cultivated in northeast,northern and northwest China as energy crop for fuel ethanol production.
