Abstract
Liaotian No.1 is a sweet sorghum hybrid for fuel ethanol.It was bred by crossing the sterile line L0201A with sweet sorghum restoring line LTR102.Its growth period is 134 days with high yield.Its stalk stays green and juicy with high sugar content till harvesting.This variety is resistant to head smut,leaf disease,lodging and possesses high ethanol exchange rate.As an energy crop,its effective accumulated temperature is more than 2 850 ℃ and can be planted in most areas of China.
