Abstract
【Objective】To investigate the level of serum adiponectin in patients with coronary artery disease(CAD) and evaluate the correlation between adiponectin and atherosclerosis.【Methods】Serum level of adiponecin was measured in 58 patients with coronary atherosclerosis(CAD group) confirmed by angiography and 50 healthy control subjects(control group).【Results】Serum level of adiponecin significantly decreased(P0.01)in CAD group as compared with that of control group.【Conclusion】 The significant decrease of adiponectin in serum of CAD may promote the development of atherosclerosis.Serum adiponectin can reflect the stability of coronary artery lesion.
