Abstract

Objective To compare the value of transvaginal sonography(TVS)and transabdominal sonography(TAS)in diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy. Methods One hundred and nine patients with ectopic pregnancy were examined by transabdominal ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound with double blind method. Results The uterus clear display rate, the endometrium mensuration rate, the pelvic lump display rate, the gestational sac and heart tube of the lump display rate, and the color Doppler flow signal detection rate of TVS group were higher than that of TAS group. Conclusion TVS is more accurate than TAS in diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy. In clinic, patients with suspected ectopic pregnancy should be first examined by TAS or TVS,and TVS is better than TAS in diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy.
