Discussion on the Development of Domestic University Library's Social Service

This paper expounds the main contents of domestic university library's social service, probes into the main problems existing in domestic university library's social service, and puts forward some countermeasures for domestic university library to carry out the social service, which include updating the concept and consciousness, improving relevant laws, rules and norms, expanding library's funding sources, developing the public service items, establishing the new platform for distance learning and lifelong learning, strengthening the propaganda by using the new media, and carrying out the new type of social services.
