Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the constituents from the roots of Ilex asprella.METHODS The chemical constituents were isolated by silica gel,Sephadex LH-20,as well as reverse phase column chromatography.Their structures were identified on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectral analysis.RESULTS Nine compounds were isolated and identified as 3β-O-acetyluvaol(Ⅰ),3β-O-acetylursolic acid(Ⅱ),siaresinolic acid(Ⅲ),oleanolic acid(Ⅳ),cafeic acid(Ⅴ),ursolic acid(Ⅵ),2,3,19-trihydroxy-urs-12-ene-23,28-dioic acid(Ⅶ),β-sitosterol(Ⅷ) and daucosterol(Ⅸ),respectively.CONCLUSION Compounds Ⅰ-Ⅴ are isolated from Ilex asprella for the first time.
