Abstract
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of carvedilol in patients with congestive heart failure(CHF). Methods Fifty two patients with CHF were randomly assigned to receive carvidelol ( n =28) and routine treatment ( n =24). NYHA class was assessed, cardial echocardiography were performed before and after five months of treatment. Results A significantly improvement of left ventricular ejection fraction in carvedilol group was found in comparison with routine group. Conclusion Carvedilol was significantly effective in CHF than routine treatment.
