Abstract
Objective:To study the therapeutic effect of carvedilol in patient with chronic congestive heart failure(CHF).Methods:The 90 CHF patients were randomly divided into carvedilol group(45 cases, treated with carvedilol of six months based routine therapy)and control group(45 cases, treated with routine therapy of six months). The indexes of heart function of two groups were compared. Results:Compared with control group the heart rate decreased, left ventricular ejection fraction increased, left ventricular end-systolic dimension, left ventricular end-diastolic dimension and ratio of cardiac-chest decreased(P0.05~0.01)in carvedilol group. The total effective rate of carvedilol group was 71%.Conclusion:Carvedilol treatment for CHF patients is effect and safe.
