Eco-aesthetics' Oriental Charateristics and Its Difference from the Western Environmental Aesthetics

Eco-aesthetics,rising from 1980s,has distinct oriental characteristics with its oriental originality.In contrast,the western eco-philosophy and eco-aesthetics has features of later-developed culture for existence of obvious oriental elements in ecological theory of its representatives such as Martin Heidegger,Alfred North Whitehead and Arne Naess.The oriental originality of eco-aesthetics lies in philosophy premise of the unity of humanity and nature,the values of equality of everything and life aesthetic connotation that yi is to give birth to life and so on.Meanwhile,as western original theoretical form,the environmental aesthetics reflects traces of anthropocentrism,the methodology of analytic aesthetics and impact of aesthetics of art.In new century,only dialogue between two can enhance development of eco-aesthetics and environmental aesthetics in world.
